This Week at a Glance

Tuesday:
10-11 PS1 Review
11-1 Haiku Exercise by Csik

Thursday:
10-1 Haiku Exercise part 2

This week we investigated how artists have used Haiku or “conceptual art” to sublimate an experience, compressing and expanding concepts from the simple to the complex.  That will be your job in the problem set.

Ready a URL for class on 2/17 (Tue) to present your solutions for:

Problem 1 (50 points)

Devise 5 haiku about things or events that happen over the weekend.

Problem 2 (50 points)

Choose 2 of the poems and make conceptual pieces to describe the lesson or tone and the moment of specificity from those 2 poems.  These may be photographs, drawings, assemblage sculptures, or time-based work of <7 seconds
